Alan Jackson's Precious Memories (Arista) was named the Inspirational Album of the Year at the 13th Annual Inspirational Country Music Award Show, last night. Other big winners included Del Way, for Entertainer of the Year; Sonya Isaacs, named the Female Vocalist of the Year; and Tommy Brandt, who took home the Male Vocalist of the Year for the second straight year. Branded was named the Vocal Duo of the Year, CrossCountry the Band won the Vocal Group of the Year, and "Back in the Country Again," by Mike Manuel, was Song of the Year. Way also co-hosted the show, splitting the duties with comedian Chonda Pierce. The ceremony, which was held at the Acuff Theatre in Nashville, will be aired on television later.
Emerson Drive opened the show with its top song, "Moments," and was followed by performances from Richie McDonald, Lee Greenwood, Tammy Cochran, Mike Hammock and Brad Cotter.
