Early support for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's Christian Book Expo in Dallas in 2009 "far exceeds" the group's expectations, according to President Mark Kuyper.

Twenty-three companies have reserved and paid for 57% more space than the trade association had planned for, 18 months ahead of the consumer-focused event intended to help expand awareness among the general public of Christian books.

"We are astounded at the advance exhibitor response," Kuyper said. "We anticipated strong support, but the level of enthusiasm and commitment we're experiencing-especially this far in advance-far exceeds our expectations."

Publishers, ministries, authors and booksellers are being invited to exhibit at the event, which will include workshops, seminars, discussions and other presentations. The Christian Book Expo will be held March 20-22, 2009, at the Dallas Convention Center.
