Lighthouse Christian Stores of Long Beach, Calif., is celebrating 60 years in business. Owners Mark and Ruth Bingle have been celebrating with events throughout the year, including appearances by MercyMe, Jim Cymbala and Karen Kingsbury, plus friendship teas with author Emilie Barnes.

Lighthouse Christian Stores-now a Parable Group store-began after World War II when Ruth Bingle's parents began working at and eventually purchased the store from Gospel Light and Henrietta Mears.

“Now, 60 years later, Lighthouse has grown from one small store in Long Beach to four stores in the greater Los Angeles area,” Bingle said. “And God has been with us every step of the way.”
