Unity In Values, a Christian mobile content company, has announced that Alltel Wireless will provide customers with the first access to The Mobile Word, a youth-oriented Christian application available in North America with involvement from pastors including Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif. “Until now, Christian youth have been underserved in the mobile-content space,” said Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management for Alltel Wireless. “The Mobile Word provides a dynamic, mobile offering for this audience, allowing an ever-growing number of Alltel customers to readily access content that is important to them.” The Mobile Word is available via Alltel's Axcess Shop, and provides customers with the ability to experience “Christian video and audio programming from noted ministries, as well as an extensive library of Christian music, video Bible verses and inspirational messages,” the company said in a statement.
“Young Christians want to have cool mobile content just like any other group of young people, but they also want content that is faithful and relevant to their lifestyle,” said Fred Clarke, president of Unity In Values. “The Mobile Word will offer everything from Christian hip-hop to extreme sports to the Bible.”
