Integra GP now offers users of AudioSELECT-a music- and video-preview system-nightly Internet updating for their music-preview systems. The Internet updating service began June 29 with an initial 55 retailers. Integra GP expects that more than 100 retailers will be on the Internet updating service by late this fall. “The systems always have all the new releases available to sample prior to street date," explained David Amster, chief innovation officer of Integra Interactive. “For retailers that have multiple screens, all are updated automatically." According to Amster, Internet updating provides the foundation for adding several new features to AudioSELECT in the coming months. “By fall, our retailers will be able to access all the customizing features of AudioSELECT by logging onto our server from any Internet-enabled computer. Their changes will then be downloaded that night to their systems.”
Stores must have a broadband connection with a minimum of 512K-download speed. The service supports wireless connectivity to the systems. According to Integra GP, AudioSELECT is the CBA industry's most widely used shopper music- and video-preview system with nearly 600 retailers and more than 1,000 sampling screens.
