Cook Communications has announced that its president and CEO, David Mehlis, will retire this summer. He will focus his remaining time in international ministries and will continue as chairman. Mehlis, the fifth president of the company, is the first chairman in the 130-year history of Cook who is not a member of the Cook family. He arrived at Cook in 1967 and rose through sales and marketing to become executive vice president in 1982, president in 1987, and chairman in 1989. Cook is looking for a replacement for Mehlis.
A story will appear in the July 4 issue of Christian Retailing.
