DaySpring Cards has won a LOUIE Award in the International Greeting Card Award contest, held by the Greeting Card Association (GCA). The winning DaySpring card was a general birthday card in the Below $3 category, and is currently included in the Max Lucado-themed card line.

Competition for the LOUIE Awards, which recognizes the year's best greeting-card products of the year, drew more than 1,100 entries in 55 categories from 180 U.S. and international publishing companies. Every card submitted was marketed and sold in the U.S. during 2004. The judging is done by 17 industry peers, including industry professionals from GCA members and non-member publishing companies.

Judging is based on imagination, impact, artistry, harmony, sendability and value. The awards categories are segregated into those priced above and below $3 retail.
