Kregel Bookstores was named a favorite place to shop in the January issue of Grand Rapids Magazine along with a mainstream independent and Barnes & Noble. The Grand Rapids, Mich., area is home to the Family Christian Stores headquarters, several strong general market independents and multiple Barnes & Noble Stores, as well as a group of other independent Christian stores. There are three Kregel stores. Magazine readers vote on the annual Best of Grand Rapids Readers poll. The magazine garnered more than 25,000 responses. "We are thrilled about this recognition in our community," said Christopher Tromp, general manager of Kregel. "Grand Rapids is a very competitive market for both general market bookstores and Christian bookstores.
