Restoring trust, identified as one of CBA's "critical issues," will be a hot topic next week during Christian retailing's major winter event. CBA Advance will convene Jan. 31-Feb. 5 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville. Key sessions will be Independents Day (Tuesday), Expo (Tuesday through Thursday) and the Future of the Industry Conference (Friday and Saturday).

CBA's registration numbers for Advance were not available at press time. Overall attendance last year was 3,861, with 221 exhibitors.

During the Future of the Industry Conference, Gary Friesen and Lynn Pace of Peacemaker Ministries will share what Christian retailers and suppliers have identified as the causes of mistrust and the obstacles to restoring trust based on recent CBA research. Leon Wirth, CBA director of communications and marketing, said attendees should expect a focused, practical presentation on the subject of trust during the conference.

"Even among dedicated Christians, healthy relationships aren't a given, but an intentional choice, and personal process that requires honesty, understanding and information with a humble heart before the Lord." Wirth added. "We need everyone to engage in this process, without a doubt."
