The ladies get their turn with Comedy Angels, also to be released next month by E1 Entertainment. Running 70 minutes, the "church clean ... club funny" program presents Teresa Roberts Logan, Leslie Norris Townsend, Donna East, T. Marni Vos and Elissa Musumeci and is due to be aired soon on the Gospel Music Channel. Retail price, $14.98.

The Comedy Bus released Laugh Tracks and Cracked Up from INO Records last month. Featuring comedians, impressionists and musical comedians, each title is distributed by Provident-Integrity, runs about 45 minutes and retails for $14.98.

best of bananas comedyGuardian Studios brings The Best of Bananas Comedy: Bunch Volume 4 to retail stores next month. The $9.99 program, to be distributed by EMI CMG, includes 40 minutes of the funniest material from six Bananas regulars. Among those featured is Bob Nelson, whose complete Bananas show is included.

Former Disney star Dean Jones appears in Mandie and the Secret Tunnel, releasing Sept. 22 from Lost World Pictures. Set in 1899 with the young heroine exploring a mansion that holds the keys to her past, the DVD is the first full-length adaptation of the popular "Mandie" fiction series for girls by Lois Gladys Leppard. It retails for $19.95.

The Fearless small group series based on Max Lucado's book of the same title releases next month. Six 10-minute sessions explore how to hold onto faith in difficult times. The Thomas Nelson kit retails for $34.99, and includes a discussion guide and resource CD.

Fathered by God is another six-part small group series from Nelson out in September, based on the same-named John Eldredge book that includes material previously published in The Way of the Wild Heart. The $39.99 DVD kit traces the steps of a man's journey to spiritual maturity.

Tyndale House Publishers' latest "Drive Thru History With Dave Stotts: American History" education-and-entertainment series releases a look at Soldiers, Jamestown and Heroes of Virginia and New York, New Jersey and Washington's Warriors. Out next month, each of the two DVDs retails for $19.99 and runs about 80 minutes.

Gigi and the Royal Pink Circus, releasing in September from Thomas Nelson, presents two animated stories and a singalong song featuring Sheila Walsh's popular girl character. The 60-minute DVD for ages 4 to 7 retails for $14.99. Fans will also be offered Gigi, God’s Little Princess DVD Treasury box set, featuring four previous Gigi releases, for $19.99.

Bible teacher Joyce Meyer appears as Miss Ruby in Anchor Bay Entertainment's Pahappahooey Island: What About Me?, available Aug. 25. The episode finds Meyer helping the children's series' puppet characters learn to work together as they seek hidden treasure. The 67-minute DVD, retail price $14.98, includes an additional episode.

Vision Video's Perpetua: Early Church Martyr, released last month, tells the story of the young believer's remarkable faith, for teens and adults. The 55-minute documentary includes footage shot at the actual historic sites in Carthage. Retail price, $19.99.

Based on the seventh novel in Janette Oke’s popular “Love Comes Softly” series, Love Takes Wing was released last month by Fox Faith. Directed by and starring Lou Diamond Phillips, the 88-minute Western romance also features Patrick Duffy (Dallas) and Backstreet Boys singer Kevin Scott Richardson. It retails for $22.98.

Originally broadcast as part of their “The Way of the Master” TV series, Ray Comfort’s and Kirk Cameron’s Why Christianity? is released next month by Living Waters Publications (800-437-1893) as a stand-alone program. Intended for use in outreach, the 30-minute evangelistic program retails for $5.

Live action and animation are combined to introduce children aged 8 to 12 to the key concepts of inductive Bible study in Harvest House PublishersHow to Study Your Bible for Kids DVD. The 60-minute adaptation of the book by Kay Arthur and Janna Arndt releases this month and retails for $14.99.

When Christ Was Alive encourages families to remember and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas through 12 mini-episodes that feature traditions and activities. Filmed entirely on location in the Holy Land, Doko Media’s The Jesus Diaries: Every Day Life in the Time of the Messiah takes viewers to many of the main sites of Jesus’ life. Discipleship Explored, produced in England by The Good Book Co., is now being distributed in the U.S. for the first time. The $49 program—a follow-up to the evangelistic Christianity Explored—has eight sessions for group or individual study, based on Philippians. A leader and study guide is also available.
