Final solutionCrown Entertainment has released a special edition DVD of an award-winning 2003 drama about racial reconciliation in South Africa. Final Solution has been revised and packaged with From One Blood ($17.99), a 45-minute documentary about the man on whom the film is based. Gerrit Wolfaardt was a white South African and violent racist who, after becoming a Christian, now promotes reconciliation and forgiveness.

A “homecoming” set unlike any of the many others in his popular series, Bill Gaither’s “Gaither Vocal Band Reunion” (Gaither Music Group/EMI CMG Distribution) DVDs, volumes 1 and 2, release Jan. 27. Capturing the July 2008 reunion of all former members of his celebrated Gaither Vocal Band, the DVDs retail for $19.99 each.
 

 

Richard WurmbrandThe inspirational life of a persecuted church leader and the founder of Voice of the Martyrs is celebrated for children aged 8 to 12 in The Richard Wurmbrand Story, the latest in Vision Video’s “Torchlighters” series. The 50-minute, $14.99 documentary, available this month, includes teacher and student resources.

Skeeter and the Mystery of the Lost Mosquito Treasure introduces Seinfeld actor John O’Hurley to the voice talent in the latest “Hermie & Friends” episode. Based on Psalm 139:13-14 with a message of everyone’s unique design, the 60-minute, $14.99 adventure lesson is released this month by Thomas Nelson.

Comedian Jeff Allen offers laughs and the personal testimony of a restored marriage in Guardian Studios’ My Heart, My Comedy ($14.99, January). Running time, 80 minutes.

Zondervan adds to its “Faith Lessons” series this month with historian Ray Vander Laan presenting Life & Ministry of the Messiah Volume 3 and Death & Resurrection of the Messiah Volume 4 from locations in the Middle East. Each set, originally released in 2004 and now repackaged, costs $39.99.
