Originally aired as part of the PBS “P.O.V.” series, the 75-minute documentary Inheritance ($26.95) was released on DVD Jan. 20 by Docurama Films. It tells of the Holocaust education work of Monika Hertwig and her remarkable meeting with a survivor of the camp at which Hertwig’s father—executed when she was a baby—was commandant. Each running 30 minutes, the programs tell the stories of the Passover and the crucifixion (Exodus), Jonah (No Way Out) and Elijah and the prophets of Baal (No Turning Back).
