Readers ‘Notice’ Andrews: Andy Andrews’ The Noticer (Thomas Nelson) debuted at No. 6 on the May 22 New York Times Hardcover Advice best-seller list, reflecting sales ending May 16. The book, blending fiction and advice and centered on paying tribute to those who make a life-changing impact, benefited from strong word-of-mouth promotion and advance viral-marketing buzz.

Dallas Willard’s Knowing Christ Today ($24.99, HarperOne) released last month. The author, a professor at University of Southern California’s School of Philosophy in Los Angeles, also wrote The Divine Conspiracy and The Spirit of the Disciplines (both HarperOne). Knowing Christ Today addresses miracles, Christian pluralism and the disappearance of moral knowledge.

Presenting Jesus: Tim LaHaye, co-author of the mega-selling series “Left Behind,” places Jesus front and center in his newest hardcover release, Jesus ($22.99, David C. Cook), coming next month. LaHaye tackles the theories presented in recent titles seeking to discredit Christ and His teachings and presents Jesus as the true Son of God.

Jared C. Wilson also places attention on Christ in Your Jesus Is Too Safe (Kregel Publications), releasing July 31. Wilson, pastor and co-founder of Element, a missional Christian community in Nashville, discusses 12 characteristics of Christ, including Jesus the Promise, the Prophet and the Judge. The softcover book will retail for $13.99.

Encountering Eeyores: Elizabeth Baker’s Personalities According to Pooh ($12.99, Standard Publishing) uses the Winnie the Pooh characters to illustrate the different personalities as well as the best ways to deal with them. The softcover book releases this month.
