ArtSoulWorks-AkianeMagnetsWebArt & SoulWorks brings to market on May 1 new Scripture-inspired magnets by Akiane.

The “Prince of Peace … and other inspirational Art by Akiane” collection features 10 designs from Akiane Kramarik, whose painting of Jesus is referenced in the Thomas Nelson best-seller Heaven Is for Real.

“Each year we have been blessed to see a significant increase in both sales,” said Carol Corneliuson, owner of the Evergreen, Colo.-based exclusive licensor and manufacturer of gifts featuring Art by Akiane. “The overwhelming success of Heaven Is for Real really increased the demand for additional gifts featuring Prince of Peace and other Akianne classic paintings.

Verses referenced on the new magnets include Mark 10:14, “Let the little children come to me,” and I Cor. 13:13, “The greatest of these is love.” The $99 40-piece, 10-design prepack includes a free display and header. Each magnet retails for $4.95.

Corneliuson said the company is “anticipating the largest fourth quarter ever in 2013” and has recently arranged for Anchor Distributors to stock all of its Prince of Peace and Art by Akiane product.

Carpentree has seen success since licensing Akiane’s art two years ago. Prince of Peace has become the company’s No. 1 seller and is available in all price points.

Prince of Peace, Names of Jesus (#23417) was introduced last fall and “offers a description of Jesus throughout the books of the Bible,” said Carpentree Marketing Manager Sherry Morris. “Earlier releases of Prince of Peace framed art items in a variety of styles and price points are fantastic sellers for us and have far exceeded our expectations as they continue to rank at the top of our best-seller lists.”

Morris advises stores not to miss out on sales on Prince of Peace items, especially in light of the release of Heaven Changes Everything (Thomas Nelson), in which Todd Burpo “talks about all the people from all over who confirm that Akiane’s image is what they saw in their dreams and visions,” Morris said. “Akiane’s art has made people stop and think about who Jesus is and has blessed, encouraged and inspired people from all over the world.”

Morris also directs retailers’ attention to the Heaven Is for Real movie from Sony Pictures TriStar division. Directed by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, Secretariat), the movie is expected to hit theaters in 2014, and more gift products will be released in conjunction with the movie.

The new magnets from Art & SoulWorks are available from Anchor starting April 20. Carpentree’s Akiane products are available from Anchor as well. Visit www.anchordistributors.com or click here for ordering information.
