ChristianBrands-StopBullyingWristbandChristian Brands has joined the nationwide campaign to stop bullying with a new Stop Bullying wristband.

“There couldn’t be a better time than now to build awareness and put the bullying epidemic to an end,” said Director of Sales Brian Schroeder.

Christian Brands’ new reversible Stop Bullying silicone wristband from Gifts of Faith launched at the January gift shows. Debossed on the outside of the tband are the words “Stop Bullying,” and the inside is silk-screened with the message “God is Love,” reminding kids that God is the ultimate anti-bully and that emulating His love can help stop the epidemic of bullying.

Schroeder and his wife, Kim, are parents to three school-aged children and have seen the trouble that bullying causes.

“The bullying has reached levels of acceptability where the kids don’t even know they’re doing it,” he said. “We can do our part to help create awareness and work to eliminate bullying in our schools.”

Statistics show that one out of four teens is bullied. One of five admits to bullying or being bullied, and on any given day, 160,000 students stay home from school because they’re afraid of being bullied. Programs such as Stopbullying.gov and school-sponsored Stop Bullying programs provide practical solutions that model appropriate behavior for a safe environment, while helping parents or teachers avoid mistakes such as questioning the children involved in front of their peers.

Schroeder suggests wearing two wristbands: one right side out with the Stop Bullying message and one inside out with the God is Love message. With eight colors to choose from, schools that purchase the wristbands can choose the one that reflects their school colors.

Suggested retail price is $1.95 each. The Stop Bullying wristband prepak retails for $187.20.
