Provident Distribution announces it will provide its promotional video loop in DVD format to better serve the changing needs of its partners at Christian retail. The newly revised In-Store Play DVD, which previously reached 800 retailers through the Clerk Perks program, will now be distributed quarterly to more than 2,200 participating accounts through Provident's retail mailings. The first of these In-Store Play DVDs will be shipped with Provident's Release Book 5, arriving at retail May 1. The loop includes embedded chapter IDs for ease of navigation and are authored to repeat automatically. The In-Store Play DVD contains two hours of video content highlighting Provident-distributed projects and artists including Michael W. Smith (Reunion Records), Third Day (Essential Records), Casting Crowns (Beach Street Records), Ginny Owens (Rocketown) and Big Daddy Weave (Fervent). The loop will also feature 30-second trailers of recent book and DVD releases from various divisions of Thomas Nelson, including Red by Ted Dekker (WestBow Press), Max Lucado's Next Door Savior (W Publishing Group), and Flo the Lyin' Fly (Tommy Nelson).
In coordination with Provident Distribution, WestBow Press will include bookmark postcards promoting Third Day's upcoming Wire album in the first 50,000 copies of Red
