Hard rock band Skillet signed a new deal with general-market label Lava Records, home to Kid Rock, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Blue Man Group.

Previously signed to Ardent Records, Skillet has released four albums, which have sold more than 400,000 units in the U.S. The band will release its album, Collide, with Lava Records on May 25.

The recording originally was released in the CBA market last November. Ardent will continue marketing, promotion and sales of Collide to Christian media and retail outlets.

The album will be re-released to Christian retail June 1 with slightly altered packaging and a new track-“Open Wounds,” a likely candidate for the band's second mainstream single.
