Beach Street Records' new artist John Waller was named one of Billboard magazine's “Faces To Watch” in the Jan. 6 inaugural “Best Bets 2007” issue of the music publication. As one of only 10 artists chosen across all genres of music, Waller is the only Christian music artist to be honored in a feature story profiling acts that Billboard calls “hot talent awaiting discovery as 2007 begins.” Waller's debut album The Blessing will be released March 6. Waller, who currently serves as the worship pastor at Southlink Church in Lone Tree, Colo., originally wrote the songs on the CD for his local church. His lyrical style caught the attention of Mark Hall, lead singer of Casting Crowns, which led to Waller to sign with the band's same label, Beach Street Records-an imprint of Reunion Records and Provident Label Group.
