The GMA Foundation (GMAF) will induct artists Richard Smallwood, Doug Oldham and The Hinsons and former music executive John T. Benson III into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, announced John W. Styll, GMAF president. The GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame induction reception and ceremony will be held at the Richland Country Club in Nashville on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Hall of Fame was established in 1971 and has inducted more than 140 members since its inception, including Elvis Presley, Amy Grant, Andraé Crouch, Petra, and Bill and Gloria Gaither.
“Each new inductee to the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame represents a vital part of the history and legacy of gospel music,” Styll said. “We honor them as a way to ensure their contributions are never forgotten, and to remind us always of the rich heritage and beautiful diversity that is unique to gospel music.”
