GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Paul Colman is the new guitarist for the Newsboys (Inpop Records), according to the group's Web site. Colman was the leader of the Paul Colman Trio (Essential/Provident-Integrity), which called it quits in February 2004 after releasing such singles as “Fill My Cup” and “Turn.” He then launched a solo career with Inpop last year. “We've been mates for a long time, and it truly feels like I'm joining a bunch of friends that I have a lot of history with,” Colman said. “I am thrilled to be a part of the Newsboys.” Furler added: “Paul is a great guitarist, singer and songwriter. Hanging out with him is always a pleasure, having him in the band … priceless.”
Colman will start playing with the Newsboys on the Winter Jam tour.
