Casting Crowns, the Atlanta-based band led by youth pastor Mark Hall, celebrates the launch of its sophomore project, Lifesong, with first-week sales numbers of 71,472, enough to lift the project into the No. 9 spot on Billboard's Top 200 album chart. This marks the highest first-week sales for a Christian act since Nov. 2003.

Lifesong also claimed No.1 on both Soundscan's Top Christian and Combined album charts.
