Harvest House Publishers is releasing a book in December that explores the spiritual side of the hit ABC TV series Lost.

Written by John Ankerberg and Dillon Burroughs, What Can Be Found in Lost? Insights on God and the Meaning of Life From the Popular TV Series seeks to connect with a culture seeking answers to the enduring issues of identity, forgiveness, relationships and spirituality, Harvest House officials said.

With fans anticipating the series' fourth season in early 2008, Ankerberg and Burroughs said Christians could benefit from a closer investigation of the show.

"Lost is filled with spiritual themes, quotes and symbolism," Burroughs said. "For instance, devoted fans are intrigued by each episode's meanings behind concepts like Eko's Jesus stick, Sayid's Muslim practices or Desmond's background as a failed monk. ... Our book wrestles with these questions and attempts to provide helpful answers from the sacred truths communicated through God's Word."
