Church House Publishing, the Church of England's publishing arm, has released Life Calling, which suggests using extracts from the film Billy Elliot as a way of exploring the dynamics of discovering a special calling. Written by Kate Bruce and Robert Warren, the book is divided into five parts that can be used by local churches as a Lenten course. Congregations are encouraged to use clips from the movie about a young ballet dancer alongside Bible readings, prayer and group activities to help churchgoers reflect on the meaning of "vocation," Church House officials said.
