CrossStaff Publishing has released a children's storybook and two coloring books based on the 3-D computer-generated animation film The Ten Commandments, which will come out in theaters nationwide Oct. 19.

The first feature film in Promenade Pictures' "Epic Stories of the Bible" franchise, The Ten Commandments is directed by Bill Boyce (“Hermie & Friends”) and John Stronach (Ben Hur, Cahoots), and features the voice talent of Ben Kingsley (narrator), Christian Slater (Moses), Alfred Molina (Ramses) and Elliott Gould (God's voice).

Due for release this month, The Ten Commandments Movie Storybook, which features scenes from the movie, was co-written by Ed Naha, who wrote the screenplay for The Ten Commandments. CrossStaff also plans to release the Making The Ten Commandments Movie Book in April to coincide with the DVD release of the animated movie next Easter, company officials said.
