'THE PASSION' FALLS TO NO. NINE |

After a comeback to No. 1 over Easter weekend, Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ fell 72% to No. 9, bringing in $4.2 million during the weekend. Newcomers took over the top of the chart: Kill Bill Vol. 2 took showed up at No. 1 with $25.6 million, while The Punisher brought in $14 million and landed at No. 2
With $360.9 million in receipts since it opened, the film is inching its way up the “All Time Box Office Charts” list, landing at No. 7 this week. The release comes in just behind The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, which totaled $376 million, and just ahead of Jurassic Park with $357 million in ticket sales. Titanic has remained at No. 1 since 1997 with $600 million at the box office.
