Best-selling author John Eldredge has signed a two-book deal with Doubleday Religious Publishing.

Eldredge, who has more than 9 million books in print, wrote the best-sellers Wild at Heart, Ransomed Heart and Captivating (all Thomas Nelson). Walking With God (Thomas Nelson), his most recent book, was released in April.

Michael Palgon, executive vice president and deputy publisher for Doubleday Publishing Group, said Eldredge is "a leading and influential voice in the Christian marketplace and we are thrilled by the opportunity to publish him. Working in tandem with our WaterBrook colleagues in Colorado Springs, Colo., we look forward (to) bringing his message to an even wider audience with these new books and to reaching his millions of existing fans as well."

Eldredge's Doubleday contract is said to be for two untitled nonfiction books.
