Howard Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, has announced the upcoming release of The Purpose of Christmas by Rick Warren. The holiday book will release Oct. 7.

"I believe this is the clearest presentation of the gospel I've ever written, and I believe it will reach many, many hearts for Christ each Christmas," Warren said.
