Data analysis provider Above the Treeline has announced the release of a national accounts module.

In addition to consolidating P.O.S. data from hundreds of independent stores, Above the Treeline now accepts and normalizes any additional retail data that publishers have access to, including data feeds directly from a national retailer, company officials said.

"We see this version as a big step in the evolution of our offering to publishers and are excited about the new features that make the most of an expanded market view," Above the Treeline President John Rubin said. "It will really help suppliers broaden their view, so they can more quickly and easily catch trends, spot supply-chain problems and act on the information faster. The initial response from our customers has been great; they love having all retail data accessible through a single portal."

Above the Treeline Director of Business Development Bob Steele said the module was a direct response to publishers' requests. "Many of our supplier partners had been using Treeline for several years to analyze independent bookstore data and wanted to apply the same kinds of analytics to their national accounts data," he said. "The new tool simplifies what was a complicated task for many publishers as they tried to make sense of their national account sales using multiple tools, some supplied by the national accounts themselves."

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company is offering more than 40 of its suppliers a free trial of the new module. For more information, visit www.abovethetreeline.com.
