Christian Trade Association International (CTAI) has announced the addition of the United Kingdom and its Christian Booksellers' Convention (CBC) as the organization's newest nation member. When CTAI was founded two years ago, a major goal was to serve every nation for which there was a recognizable organization representing the industry, Christian Trade officials said. The addition of the U.K. fulfills that goal, CTAI officials added. Started more than 30 years ago, the CBC is the main annual event for the Christian retail channel in the U.K. The 2008 CBC will be held March 3-5 in Telford, England.
"We are delighted and privileged to be joining the Christian Trade Association International," CBC Chairman Jonathan Bugden said. "Our desire is to be connected globally to other parts of our industry."
