Eye Witness: Acts of the Spirit (Head Press Publishing) by Robert James Luedke has been awarded the silver medal in the Graphic Novel category of the 2007 Independent Publisher Book Awards, also known as the IPPY Awards. The book is the second title in the "Eye Witness" graphic novel trilogy. The first book in the series, A Fictional Tale of Absolute Truth, was released August 2004 and the final book in the trilogy, Destiny Road, will be published in late 2008. "To have a Christian-based graphic novel recognized in this fashion by the media is a wonderful blessing to this developing genre," Luedke said. "The whole purpose of this series was to bring the story of the birth of the Christian faith to a new generation of readers who might not be interested in going to church or reading the Bible...but love a good action-thriller presented in the graphic novel format."
The IPPY Awards presentation will be held in conjunction BookExpo America in New York City, June 1.
