Christian authors nominated for romance awards |

Several Christian authors have been nominated for the Romance Writers of America's RITA Awards. Bethany House Publishers author Deeanne Gist is a finalist in the Best Inspirational Romance category for her second book, The Measure of a Lady. Tamera Alexander, another Bethany House author, was also nominated in the Best Inspirational Romance category for her first two books, Rekindled and Revealed. Rekindled is also a finalist in the Best First Book category. Multnomah author Allison Pittman was nominated in the Best Inspirational Romance and the Best First Book categories for Ten Thousand Charms. Alison Strobel, a WaterBrook author, was also named a finalist in the Best Inspirational Romance category for Violette Between.
Winners for the 2007 RITA Awards will be announced July 14 during the Romance Writers of America's (RWA) annual conference in Dallas, set for July 10-14. Regarded as the highest award of excellence in the genre of romance fiction, the RITA Award is named after RWA's first president, Rita Clay Estrada.
