Thomas Nelson's Million Bible Challenge-the complete NKJV Bible presented in an affordable paperback-has reclaimed the No. 1 position on the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's Bibles STATS (Sales Tracking Analysis Trends Summary) Top 50 chart, company officials announced.

The Bible-which features introductory material, a plan of salvation and Bible reading plans-has spent 20 consecutive months on the chart. After a brief time at No. 2, it has risen to the top spot once again for two straight weeks.

Nelson officials said the Million Bible Challenge (MBC) has resulted in more than 3 million lives impacted for Christ. The MBC was developed in 2005 as a way of providing churches, individuals and ministries with an affordable way to give a full version of the Bible to as many people as possible through the purchase of small or bulk quantities from Christian retailers.

“We were blown away by the response to the Million Bible Challenge and are dedicated to continuing the mission to engage the community in the important work of evangelism,” said Wayne Hastings, senior vice president and group publisher for Thomas Nelson's Bible group. “We pray that people will continue to partner with us as we make efforts to help others experience the Bible for the first time, as well as reintroduce those that may have fallen away from their walk of faith.”
