Parable exclusives top best-seller lists Print Email

Parable is seeing its exclusive products top member stores' sales reports this season. According to the most recent report for Parable stores, three of the top 10 best-sellers were Parable-exclusive items. A Christmas Joy CD took No. 1, Why a Manger? by Bodie and Brock Thoene was No. 2, and a silver Nativity wall cross gift took the No. 7 spot.

Tim van Eijl of The Shepherd's Voice Parable Christian Store in Onalaska, Wis., said the products were “playing a major part in our season this year. It's really making a difference.”

Parable has focused on growing its exclusive product line-which includes books, gifts, music and software-for the last year-and-a-half in order to not only “set Parable stores apart from other stores,” but also to provide “much-needed margin for franchise and member stores,” a company statement said.

“Parable has always been passionate about new ideas, and we believe a healthy cross-section of exclusive products will play an important part in helping stores grow,” said Steve Potratz, Parable CEO.

Last quarter, the exclusive devotional First Thing Everyday and CD Re:Fresh-In the Quiet Place were both No. 1 sellers in Parable member stores.
