Good News Holdings, a Los Angeles faith-based multimedia agency co-owned by leading Christian researcher George Barna, has acquired the film rights to Anne Rice's novel Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt (Knopf). Rice, famous for vampire stories such as Interview With the Vampire, wrote the book after returning to her Christian faith. The book details Jesus' early life after age 7.

The film is being produced by Good News Holdings, which Barna co-owns with former Paramount President David Kirkpatrick, former creative sales and marketing executive for the Microsoft Corporation Christopher Chisholm, former TODAY show West Coast producer Martha Cotton, former Barna Group partner Thom Black and former President and CEO of Equator Technologies Inc. Rich Christopher, Daily Variety reported.
