The Afters (Simple/INO/Epic records) and MeWithoutYou (Tooth & Nail) each took home a Woodie Award at the 2005 mtvU Awards Nov. 2 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

The Afters' video for “Beautiful Love” won for the Streaming Woodie (Video) category while MeWithoutYou's song “January 1979” won for the Left Field Woodie category. MeWithoutYou also presented at the event. U2 took home The Good Woodie Award for their commitment to social causes such as global AIDS and poverty awareness.

The mtvU Awards will air Nov. 9 on mtvU and mtvU.com. mtvU is broadcasted to more than 700 colleges across the nation, making it the largest television network created for college students.
