Franklin, St. James to host GMA Music Awards |

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced that Kirk Franklin and Rebecca St. James will host the 37th annual GMA Music Awards on April 5 in Nashville. Franklin is one of the biggest selling gospel artists in the history of SoundScan and his debut album, Kirk Franklin and the Family, was the first gospel album to sell more than 1 million copies. St. James is a multiple Dove and Grammy Award winner and has been a prominent figure in the Christian music industry for more than a decade. Tickets are now on sale for the event-to be held at the Grand Ole Opry House-and can be purchased by visiting www.GMAMusicAwards.com GMA Music Week will take place April 1-5 and will feature concerts and professional tracks for those in the Christian music business, including retailers, broadcasters and promoters. For the first time, GMA also will present tracks for independent artists and urban music professionals. Registration for the convention has begun and those who register by Nov. 15 are eligible for a discount.
GMA Music Award nominations will be announced on Feb. 1.
