After five years of declining sales, Kregel's used book division will close its doors Oct. 31, according to Jim Kregel, company president. “We've seen a decline in the past five years in used book division sales,” said Jim Kregel, president of Kregel. “We need to put the resources where they are working.” Kregel's used bookstore is the company's original store founded in 1909. Kregel will continue to operate three Michigan full-service Christian bookstores as well as the Spanish and English divisions of their book-publishing company. Every one of the hundreds of thousands of new, used and rare titles in stock at Kregel Used Books are priced to reflect savings of 28%-75% off. Higher markdowns will be announced soon. Thousands of books are listed electronically and are available online, which includes devotionals, biographies, inspirational titles, reference works, coffee table books, hymnals, Bible study resources, theology studies, commentaries, parenting helps, sermon aids and counseling/psychology titles.
