Kregel Used Books, a division of Kregel Christian Books & Resources, is shutting down. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company has announced that the used books division is liquidating its book inventory with plans to close its doors on Oct. 31, after 95 years. The company is promoting a sale of hundreds of thousands of new, used and rare titles at a 28%-75% discount.
The Kregel company was started in 1909 by Louis Kregel. The first full-service store opened in Michigan in 1959. The store later became Kregel Used Books, which has carried more than 275,000 used and out-of-print religious and theological books.
