altA former fashion industry veteran has developed a new line of Christian women's apparel. Michele Conti is the owner and founder of Inspiretees, which features "The Verses" collection of shirts with Love, Joy, Peace, Hope, Respect or Truth, spelled out prominently across the fronts in Swarovski Crystals and complementary Bible verses written along the hemlines.

An accomplished seamstress with many awards in tailoring, Conti spent several years managing retail stores that specialized in bridal and upscale fashions as well as working fashion trade shows and showrooms in New York City's renowned garment district.

After moving back to her hometown of New Castle, Penn., Conti began a career in public relations and marketing for the women's fitness industry. She then decided to pursue her lifelong dream of creating original designs by launching Inspiretees last year.

"My goal had been to create an elegant, yet hip, line of inspirational Christian apparel that would spread the word in style, and I finally found a way to do it," Conti told Christian Retailing. "Inspiretees is in the process of reaching out to Christian bookstores. ... This line is now being offered to retail buyers with easy minimum purchase requirements."
