With the release this month of The Jeremiah Study Bible (Worthy Publishing) and the success of his latest book, What Are You Afraid Of? (Tyndale House Publishers), Jeremiah’s titles have been supported by Christian retailers, whom he calls “God’s frontline ambassadors to a hostile world.”

The November issue of Christian Retailing also features all that retailers need to know about the 2014 Vacation Bible School (VBS) season. Designed as a flip issue, one side features Dr. Jeremiah, while the other comprises the 2014 VBS Product Guide with 17 VBS programs included.

In Book News, Emerson Eggerichs is back with another “Love & Respect” title. Love & Respect in the Family (Thomas Nelson) releases Nov. 5. In By the Book, writer Ken Walker discusses the Auto/Biography genre.

Church Supplies—an important category for Christian retailers—gets substantial treatment in the “Serving the local church” feature, and Shaylyn Sattler of Barbour Publishing offers advice to stores appealing to price-conscious consumers with value-published books.
