In the wake of reality TV couple Jon and Kate Gosselin's highly publicized divorce in December, Zondervan will release a new book by Kate Gosselin on April 13.

I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family "continues Kate's story of faith and family," picking up where Jon and Kate's Multiple Blessings: Surviving to Thriving With Twins and Sextuplets ended, Zondervan officials said.

The new hardcover book, which will retail for $22.99, will feature excerpts, prayers and memories from Gosselin's journal, "offering an intimate look at the heart of a mother during the three years her family transitioned from obscurity into the national spotlight," Zondervan said.

The book will also include eight individual letters--one addressed to each one of her children, covering a variety of topics such as the disappointment that comes when life does not go as planned and God's faithfulness during times of change.

"We support Kate as she moves forward into a new chapter of her life," said Dudley Delffs, senior vice president and publisher of trade books at Zondervan. "It is clear that her faith has been an integral part of her life and the lives of her children during the past year, and we are honored to give her the opportunity to share her heart."

Gosselin added in a statement: "Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised. I know they will have a lot of questions about things that may not make sense because they were raised so unconventionally."

Featuring the joys and challenges of a family raising eight children--twins and sextuplets--in Central Pennsylvania, Jon & Kate Plus 8 was a hit reality TV series on TLC for five seasons. The final episode aired Nov. 23, but has since been dropped after Jon Gosselin refused to allow filming of new episodes of a new show with his children. Gosselin is currently in production on a new show for TLC, Zondervan officials said.

Released by Zondervan in October 2008, Multiple Blessings was on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction best-seller list for several weeks and has sold more than 500,000 copies. The book was a finalist in the Christian Life category of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Christian Book Awards last year. Gosselin's gift book, Eight Little Faces: A Mom's Journey, also reached the New York Times Hardcover Advice list after its release last April.

Zondervan said that it would "reassess the schedule" for Love Is in the Mix, Kate Gosselin's cookbook, last summer after news of the couple's marital discord made tabloid headlines. The 240-page book, which was to offer an "inside look at one of America's most famous close-knit families," is no longer listed on Zondervan's Web site.
