Desktop application for Christian retailers launched

Spring Arbor Distributors, the Christian distribution arm of Ingram Book Company, has launched a downloadable desktop application specifically created for Christian retailers.

Spring Arbor Wire, a user-friendly PC and Mac-compatible application built on Adobe AIR, provides Spring Arbor's Christian product expertise and stock information directly to customers' desktops, company officials said.

"We're committed to leveraging the latest technology to give our customers an edge to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment," said Spring Arbor Director of Sales Chris Smith. "Delivering relevant information about important Christian products directly to our customer's desktop saves valuable time that can be better spent on the sales floor ministering to the needs of customers."

Through the downloadable desktop app, retailers receive stock news on fast-moving products specific to their assigned distribution center, alerts on top awards and breaking events, as well as "backorder now" messages to ensure they are among the first for allocations.
