Zondervan has been named as Family Christian Stores' (FCS) 2009 Supplier of the Year for "outstanding overall business focus, commitment to growth and service, support of marketing and promotional events."

The largest Christian chain in the industry-with almost 300 stores in 36 states-FCS cited Zondervan's The Bible Experience-Complete Bible as an example of the company's "exceptional product innovation." The publisher's "commitment to products and programs that produce value for retailers and which transform the lives of consumers, their families and ministries, has made them the natural choice for this award," FCS said.
For the second consecutive year, the Service and Distribution Award went to Harvest House Publishers in recognition of its "consistent in-stock position, excellent service and assistancein maximizing sales while reducing costs in every area of operation with Family Christian Stores."

Strang Communications received the Partnership Award for "showing outstanding business metrics, support of marketing and other initiatives, and the effective use of the Family Christian Stores' Distribution Center."

The Business Innovation Award went to Crossway for "product creativity and unique product designs, particularly in relation to the ESV Bible lines."

Provident-Integrity Distribution won the Ministry Impact Award in honor of "the immense impact of products like the DVD Fireproof in sharing the message of Jesus Christ, and encouraging growth, restoration and hope in marriages."

The FCS awards were announced by Craig Klamer, senior vice president of merchandise. The award recipients were not only partners in day-to-day business, "but they are also committed to the same mission: providing resources that help people find, share and encourage faith in Jesus Christ," Klamer said.
