(Thomas Nelson) debuted at No. 6 on the Jan. 16 New York Times Hardcover Advice best-seller list, reflecting sales through the week ending Jan. 10. McGraw, wife of TV host Dr. Phil McGraw, gives advice to women on staying happy and healthy as they mature.

Best-selling inspirational author Karen Kingsbury debuts a new softcover series, “Above the Line,” this month with the release of Take One ($14.99, Zondervan), featuring characters from the popular “Baxter Family” series. The story follows missionaries Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison who embark on a journey to Hollywood. Kingsbury has written more than 30 best-selling novels and has nearly 5 million books in print.

Also on the Christian Retailing site is an exclusive interview with Joni Eareckson Tada discussing her new legacy release, A Lifetime of Wisdom ($21.99, Zondervan, March). The book centers on what she has learned through suffering.

Moving beyond shame: Tyndale House Publishers releases this month Shame Lifter by Marilyn Hontz ($14.99), author of Listening for God (2004). The autobiographical book traces the author’s journey from shame to forgiveness, freedom and truth.

Brennan Manning’s The Furious Longing of God ($16.99) releases this month from David C. Cook. Manning, the author of The Ragamuffin Gospel (Multnomah Books) and Abba’s Child (NavPress), writes about the most powerful force in the universe, the love of God for His children.

From jihad to Jesus: Former terrorist Kamal Saleem tells his story of finding grace through Christ in The Blood of Lambs ($23.99, Howard Books), releasing next month.
