GRAMMY winner, author appear on second Free Chapel live recording

altPerhaps best known as the home of pastor and best-selling author Jentezen Franklin (Fasting, Charisma House), Free Chapel in Gainesville, Ga., is also acknowledged for its dynamic worship, captured in Power of the Cross: Live at Free Chapel.

The live recording of the multicultural megachurch that presents the Kingdom Connection worldwide telecasts is its second release with Integrity Music, following Moving Forward in 2007.

The latest offering features Free Chapel’s worship leader Ricardo Sanchez, GRAMMY Award winner Israel Houghton and Franklin himself. All are backed by the church’s choir, band and praise team.

Sanchez and Houghton, who appear throughout the project, also co-produced the CD and wrote most of the songs for the 11-track project.

Franklin makes a surprise appearance, singing the Andraé Crouch classic “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power” and playing a sax solo.

“I remember years ago sitting in my office, jotting down my dreams for the ministry of Free Chapel,” he said. “I dreamed for a music ministry that would draw people into God’s presence to worship Him and be refreshed ... for a ministry that would influence the nations.”

In addition to the CD and DVD (0-00768-46081-8), Integrity has also produced products for churches, including CD accompaniment tracks (0-00768-46089-4), a songbook (0-00768-46087-0) and a digital songbook (0-00768-46080-1).

Integrity is supporting the release through print and digital advertising, street team promotions and cross-marketing with Free Chapel’s “Forward 2009” conference.
