We asked, how do you promote and support Vacation Bible School programs in your church? "At The Church at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, Ark., the childcare ministry designed their own program. We have a large church, and there were over 350 kids there every night. In our church bookstore, we put fliers out at the information desk letting folks know we would be open. We have a coffee shop along with frozen drinks, etc., in the store. We are located right at the main entrance to the church, so it's hard to miss us." Jim Weeks We asked, how can stores help train staff to sell Bibles more effectively? "Crossway has created easy-to-use frontliner training materials for the ESV Bible, and especially for the recent release of the ESV Study Bible. This training includes print, video and online aspects, along with incentives for frontliners who complete it. Our Web site, www.esv.org, is also a great source of up-to-the-minute news about the ESV, upcoming Bible editions, endorsements, blog postings, video, and more. "We have also participated in several merchandising systems, such as Parable's fixtures, that use signage and kiosks to help people find the Bible they are looking for." Randy Jahns |
