Casting Crowns recently performed during North Korea's 25th Annual April Spring Friendship Art Festival in Pyongyang. Performers from around the world were invited to the festival, with the group being the only U.S. band to attend, according to Beach Street Records (Provident-Integrity), Casting Crowns's label.

The GRAMMY Award-winning band played three standing-room-only shows April 11-13 at the event, which emphasized artistic exchange, and the promotion of peace and goodwill within the reclusive communist country.

The band incorporated a few Korean favorites in its live show, including the popular song “White Dove, Fly High,” which is recognized as an anthem for peace, Beach Street said. Global Resource Services, a U.S. humanitarian organization that has worked in North Korea for the last 10 years, facilitated the band's participation.
