Sean Smith has been named Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2007 Momentum Awards, which were handed out March 31 at the annual Christian Indie Artists (CIA) Summit in Franklin, Tenn.

Smith also picked up four awards at last year's ceremony, including Album of the Year for Real, which was released independently in 2005, according to CIA Summit officials. The CD was released nationally in March through TAG Artist Group.

Produced by multiple GRAMMY and Dove Award winner Phil Naish (Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, Michael Card and David Phelps), Real features background vocals by Lisa Bevill and 2006 American Idol finalist Mandisa.
