-style reality show hosted by Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell, announced the winner of its first season Jan. 26 on the Trinity Broadcasting Network-Da'Quela Payne.

Payne was awarded a contract with EMI CMG, with her debut due to release through EMI Gospel on April 24.

The TV special is being followed by the release of a CD/DVD package, Gifted: Season One (Sparrow Records), on Feb. 20. The CD features music from the telecast finalists and includes the AC radio single “Amazing Love (You Are the King),” which will release to radio Feb. 2. A DVD with the two-hour Gifted TV special also is included.

The Gifted franchise is a production alliance of Christian film producer Matthew Crouch, president of Gener8Xion Films, and pop music manager/executive Johnny Wright, CEO of the Wright Entertainment Group, whose clients include Backstreet Boys, Jump 5 and Justin Timberlake.
