A new artist from the 32nd annual GMA Music in the Rockies event in Estes Park, Colo., July 30-Aug. 5, will win a spot on a forthcoming CD release. Judges representing the Indelible Creative Group (ICG) will join a panel for the music competition at the Gospel Music Association-organized event and award one competitor a song on the company's 2007 release Velocity. An annual project introduced this month, the “Velocity” series will feature independent artists from around the country and be distributed by Word Distribution at Christian retail and WEA Distribution in the general market.
“We are excited to be partnering with GMA,” said Chris Thomason, president and co-founder of ICG. “GMA has always been about the encouragement, development, and training of aspiring artists and their ministries. The partnership between Indelible's Velocity brand and GMA serves both of our visions to give these outstanding artists an The GMA welcomed ICG's “vision for giving aspiring and independent artists a significant platform from which to expose their music,” said GMA President John W. Styll. “This terrific opportunity provides yet another reason that Music in the Rockies has become an event where these artists can discover how their music matters.” Music in the Rockies draws aspiring songwriters, artists and musicians from all over the world to spend time with seasoned gospel music artists, industry professionals and spiritual leaders.
